Eight SFP+ cages plus a Gigabit management or access port give you serious 10G capacity in a small, quiet enclosure.
As a CRS device it dual boots between SwOS and RouterOS, so you can treat it as a fast Layer 2 fiber switch or unlock full RouterOS routing, VLANs, and MPLS-class features on the same hardware. It is a common choice for collapsing a rack of 1G links into a handful of 10G uplinks between switches, servers, or PtP radios.
